On Miracle Ground XXII, “‘Dark’ Durrell,” was held July 4-6, 2024, at Hellenic American University in Athens, Greece.
Louisville Conference on Literature and Culture Since 1900. Every year from 2003 to 2024, the International Lawrence Durrell Society sponsored invited panels at the Louisville Conference on Literature and Culture Since 1900. Durrellians re-united for the scholarly sessions and enjoyed festive times together.
On Miracle Ground XXI, “Mysticisms, Heresies, and Heterotopias,” was held June 9-11, 2022, on-line, hosted by the Université de Toulouse Jean Jaures, France.
On Miracle Ground XX, “Exile, Survival, Dissent,” was held July 4 through 7, 2018, in downtown Chicago. In addition to scholarly panels and presentations, the conference included festive gatherings and outings to special sites in the Windy City.
On Miracle Ground XIX, “Threading the Labyrinth: Durrell, Greece, and World War II,” was held June 26-30, 2016, hosted by the University of Crete, Rethymnon, Greece.
On Miracle Ground XVIII, “Durrell & Place: Translation, Migration, Location,” was held May 14 through 17, 2014, hosted by Fairleigh Dickinson University, Vancouver.
On Miracle Ground XVII, “Durrell 2012: The Lawrence Durrell Centenary,” was held June 13 through 18, 2012, hosted by Goodenough College, London.
On Miracle Ground XVI, “Durrell and the City: Reconstructing the Urban Landscape,” was held July 7 through 10, 2010, hosted by Louisiana Tech University (New Orleans), in the USA.
On Miracle Ground XV, “Lawrence Durrell: A Writer at the Crossroads of Arts and Sciences,” was held on July 1 through 5, 2008, hosted by the l’Université Paris X (Nanterre), in France.
On Miracle Ground XIV was held on June 25 through 29, 2006, at the University of Victoria, Vancouver Island, Canada.
On Miracle Ground XIII was held on June 27 through July 2, 2004, in Rhodes, Greece.
Borderlines and Borderlands, an international Lawrence Durrell/D.H. Lawrence conference, was held on June 24 through 26, 2004, at the University of Paris X.

On Miracle Ground VII was held in 1992 in Avignon, France.
There was also a conference on January 2 and 3, 1998, at S. B. College, Kerala in Kochi, Kerala, India.
ACLALS: Literature For Our Times. The 14th international Triennial Conference of the Association of Commonwealth Language and Literature was held 17-22 August, 2007, in Vancouver, BC. Three panels included discussion of Durrell’s works with 7 papers.
